Browned the meat in a pan with a knob of butter.

Do 200 g at a time for best results.

Aside from Brown the onions then put all ingredients in a pan with high edges.

Add enough water to cover the meat, put the lid on and cook in the oven at 150 degrees.

Every now and then open the door and stir.

The stew is ready when the meat cubes begin to open (it will take at least 3 hours).

Be careful not to over-dry the meat.

Serve with boiled potatoes and seasoned with butter.
