Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, add the flour and stir well, letting it cook a couple of minutes.
Add the broth and continue to cook for another 5 minutes, possibly adding broth or flour depending on whether the mixture is too thick or too much fluid.
Add the other ingredients stirring, and remove from heat after another 2-3 minutes.
