Fried green tomatoes
Instructions
Heat the fat in a pan.
Sprinkle the diced tomatoes in beaten egg and pass them in the breadcrumbs.
Fry them until they Brown and put them in a dish.
In the Pan where it remained the fat add two tablespoons of flour and mix well.
Pour a cup of milk and simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Add salt and pepper.
Pour over the tomatoes and served piping hot.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 3 tablespoons of bacon fat
- Flour
- 4 green tomatoes
- Milk
- Some of beaten eggs
- Salt
- Breadcrumbs
- Pepper
