With tomato jelly

Thinly cut stale bread (it should not be wet) in a large pot, sauté the garlic and chilli in the oil, add the tomato sauce and cook for about 5 minutes.
Combined with the bread sauce, add salt and cook stirring well until the bread has completely "flabby", the consistency should be that of a "pappa" (takes about 30 minutes)! If necessary, add a little boiling water or vegetable broth.
Served by spraying with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil.
