Instructions
The focaccia bread or Saturday is called in Hebrew Challà.
With this name are indicated in the tenth which belonged to the priests of the temple on leavened bread.
Mix the yeast with water.
After it is well dissolved, add sugar and about half of the flour.
Let rise for 15-30 minutes.
When the mixture will rise, add the rest of ingredients and mix well.
Work the mixture for about 10 minutes, then form into a ball, cover and allow to rise in a warm place for about two hours.
Knead again then the mixture and form a braid.
Let rise for another 20-30 minutes.
Place the bread on a baking plate previously greased and floured, brush the surface of the dough with an egg beaten well and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

- 1000 g of flour
- 75 g of brewer's yeast
- 125 g of sugar
- 4 cl of lukewarm water
- 17 cl of olive oil
- 2 eggs
- 3 teaspoons of salt
