Modena's apple pie
Instructions
In a bowl beat the eggs (yolk) with sugar, then add the melted butter, sifted flour, grated rind of half a lemon and milk.
Combine the yeast setacciandolo.
Cut and peel the apples into thin slices.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and merge them to the mixture, stirring gently from the bottom up.
Pour the mixture into a cake tin greased and floured hinge (CA 23 cm) and arrange over the Apple slices in concentric circles.
Sprinkle with sugar and bake in the oven at 200 degrees already warm for about 45 minutes.

- 5 large apples
- 300 g of flour
- 120 g of sugar
- 100 g of butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 sachet of baking powder
