Grandma marietta tomatoes
Instructions
This is a simple and very useful preparation for end-of-season tomatoes that although mature, remain small because they no longer have the strength to grow.
Carefully clean thoroughly washing tomatoes until they become perfectly shiny and smooth.
Remove the petioles and wash them under running water.
Meanwhile, bring water to a boil in a large saucepan (used for sterilization).
Put tomatoes in airtight jars, add the basil leaves, a pinch of salt and, if desired, a few grains of white pepper.
Close the jars, wrap them with clothes, immerse them in boiling water and sterilize them sobbollendo for 40 minutes.
Allow to cool in sterilization water before storing them in the cupboard.
