Pancakes with plum jam
Instructions
Remove the crust from sandwiches or slices of bread, cut in half horizontally, spread over the plum jam, combined the two halves and leave them to soak in milk flavored with rum, vanilla and cinnamon; at this point, emerge them in beaten egg and FRY quickly in hot fat until crisp, drain excess fat and sugared.
These pancakes, called in Vienna ' poor Knights ', can be supported on small pieces of almonds or pistachios.
Usually there is a fruit sauce.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 4 white-bread sandwiches
- 60 g of plum jam
- 25 cl of milk
- Vanilla sugar
- 1 tablespoon of rum
- Cinnamon
- 2 whole eggs
- Sweet grease
- Vanilla icing sugar
