Walnut semifreddo and dulce de leche

2_17924 WALNUT SEMIFREDDO and DULCE DE LECHE INGREDIENTS for 4 PEOPLE 1 litre of milk, 300 g sugar, a stick of vanilla, a pinch of baking soda, 50 g chopped walnuts, 400 ml (2 cups) of whipped cream.
Pour into a saucepan with the milk, vanilla pod, sugar and a pinch (less than 1/4 TSP) of baking soda.
Bring all to a boil and cook over lively heat until the liquid is not browned, then lower the heat, continue to moderate flame, stirring frequently.
Cook for a couple of hours.
Incorporated to cream the chopped walnuts and stir carefully.
Add the whipped cream and stir gently with a spatula.
Pour the mixture into a mold type cake and place in the freezer for about 2/3 hours.
When serving, Dip the mold in warm water a few seconds; put the cake on a serving platter and serve, garnished with some walnut and, if desired, of caramel.
