Instructions
Heat oil in a skillet and Brown the onion.
Combine the beans and a cup of their cooking water.
Cook over low heat for one minute.
Add the rice and cook for 5 minutes.
Season with salt and add the cilantro.
Raise the fire for a few minutes.
Serve with hot sauce.
This typical dish of Costa Rica is served at breakfast, with tortillas, for lunch or dinner as a side dish.

- 500 g of boiled rice
- 250 g of black beans boiled
- 120 g of chopped onion
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of coriander
