Mahmoud-Maize biscuits

The Mahmoud are traditional ancient Lombard cuisine biscuits that were used for the snack.
Are displayed on the dip in milk or tea, irresistible when served with whipped cream!
Grease and flour the baking plate. Let soften butter at room temperature, dividing it into pieces. In a bowl, stir together the cornmeal, flour, wheat starch and yeast, then pour on the work surface. Do the usual fountain and add sugar, rind of 1 lemon zest, eggs and butter.
Knead the dough with your hands until all ingredients are well blended. Should be a soft dough. With your hands, make round patties of about 4 cm in diameter and place on the baking plate.
