Wheat tortillas
Instructions
In a bowl mix the flour, salt and baking powder, making sure to mix well.
Combine the melted butter and continue to stir to obtain a homogeneous compound.
Gradually add warm water until the dough becomes soft.
Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 12 balls and roll each on floured surface, extending them with your hands to get a circle with a diameter of about 18 cm with smooth edges.
Cook in a cast iron pan, 1 minute per side.
The tortilla should have a nice golden colour.
Ingredients and dosing for 4 persons
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- 1/2 cup of hot water
