Instructions
Clean the fennel, washed and burned for 10 minutes in boiling salted water.
Cut them in half.
Melt the butter in a baking dish and arrange the fennel in a single layer.
Season with salt and pepper, and cook over low heat while bathing with the cream.
When they are tender should fire and cover them with ham and fontina cheese sliced thinly.
Put them in a hot oven to 190 degrees until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
