Croque monsieur
Instructions
Spread mustard on bread.
Cut the ham and cheese into six slices of the first and second big 12 as the bread.
Place a slice of cheese on six slices of bread, add the ham and cheese again.
Cover the sandwich with the remaining bread and, if you wish, tie it up with thin Twine.
Heat the butter in a pan and Brown the toast for a few minutes on both sides.
Serve hot.
For a lighter version of the croque-monsieur, simply cook them in the toaster oven instead of frying them.
