Stewed cabbage
Instructions
Clean the cabbage and cut it into thin strips.
In a large saucepan, heat the butter and four tablespoons of olive oil, insaporitevi onion and chopped Bacon, stirring often.
Sprinkle with wine and vinegar, let it eat half.
Add the cabbage, thyme, juniper berries.
Stir, cover with lukewarm broth.
Simmer at very low heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally and adding broth if necessary.
Before turning off adjust the salt and pepper.
Serve sauerkraut hot with beef/pork, cotechini and zamponi.
