Rosemary butterflies (salty biscuits)
Rosemary butterflies (salty biscuits) 5 1 Stefano Moraschini

These butterflies with Rosemary savoury Biscuits are great as a snack or to accompany an aperitif.

Crush the Rosemary and mix them to the flour put into a large bowl. Add the oil, baking powder dissolved in water, lard and salt. Work the dough until it becomes smooth and soft but not sticky. Set it aside and let it rise until doubled its volume for about 40 minutes.

Roll out the dough and make large rectangles roughly 1.5 x 3 cm. Take the shorter sides between your fingers and turn them in to different, to give it the shape of a bow (a butterfly); brush with oil and cook in a preheated oven at 200° for about 20 minutes.
