Instructions

Wash well and coarsely chop the cabbage; then take a large saucepan and saute in oil and butter, chopped onion, garlic and diced bacon.

Combine the cabbage, salt, pepper and cook slowly in a pan covered for 45 minutes.

Occasionally stir and, if required, add the broth.
