Guinness Meat pie (steak and Guinness Pie)
Instructions
Cut the meat into cubes and toss them in the flour to which you have already combined salt and pepper.
In a pan melt the lard or butter and fry the thin chopped onion until it will be transparent.
Add the meat and Bacon Sauté coarsely and let them as long as they will be golden brown.
At this point, sprayed with guinness and combine the raisins and brown sugar.
Let then Cook gently until the meat is cooked.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir occasionally and add Guinness or water if the sauce becomes too thick.
Line a cake tin with the pastry and gilds in oven at 170 degrees for about 15 minutes.
At the end put the meat in the Pan and shut it with the remaining puff pastry by pressing the edges with a fork.
Put in oven and cook over medium heat until the surface of the cake will be golden.
Served hot.
Is a rich and hearty dish.
It is usually served with baked potatoes, unpeeled (potatoes in a jacket) or with a potato puree and applesauce.

- 1000 g of beef pulp
- White flour
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (or 3 teaspoons of honey)
- 1 tablespoon of sultanas (optional)
- 3 white onions
- 30 cl of guinness (irish stout)
- 150 g of bacon
- Pork fat (or butter)
