Wash, Peel and boil the turnips in boiling salted water until half-cooked.
Brown the butter in a saucepan, combine turnips, cut into slices and flour, salt and pepper.
Cover of broth or water and finish cooking.
When the broth is absorbed and turnips are tender, remove from heat and serve.
