Instructions

Wash and dry the pears.

Melt over low heat 2 tablespoons sugar and place the pears, whole and unpeeled, in caramel.

Wet them with water and wine and sprinkle with the sugar, add the cloves and cinnamon.

Cover and simmer for about 1 hour.
