Stewed lentils and bacon
Instructions
Let the lentils soaked in cold water for several hours.
Drain, put in a pot with a carrot, a stick of celery, cover with cold water and bring to a boil.
As soon as the water begins to boil, add the onion, the garlic and a slice of bacon.
Cover and cook over low heat for about an hour and a half.
Eventually discarded vegetables, cut the bacon into strips and when done, lentils, adjust the salt.
This dish is a side dish, but can be served also as a thickish soup.
